What matters to us at Bear Creek Kids Campus is simple: Your child. We provide strong social and educational foundations that prepare your child for success in elementary school and beyond. Our schools and classrooms are designed to give children room to grow, room to share, and room to be themselves. Here, children work together, have constructive fun together, and discover how enjoyable learning can be.

Contact usBear Creek Kids Campus originated within Brooklyn Community Estate, a 50 bed skilled and long-term care facility in Brooklyn, Iowa. Owners, Shane and Susan Sissel, recognized the struggles employees faced finding quality, consistent childcare in the community.
The Sissels utilized The Child Care Business Incentive Grant Program, in conjunction with Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) and the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The grants were geared at helping employers offer or expand child care options as a benefit to their employees. Funds supported local infrastructure investments to build or expand child care capacity, or supported arrangements between employers and child care facilities to expand and reserve child care slots.
In September of 2022, Brooklyn Community Estate was awarded
to assist in building a new childcare center.
Throughout our community, we share a commitment to fostering a culture where differences are valued, and interactions are free of bias. We place value on each child’s unique identities, abilities, backgrounds, and points of view. It’s part of a commitment we made to make a difference and have a positive impact. We want our employees, teachers, and each child in our care to be comfortable sharing their authentic self. That’s why it is important for us to ensure a wide range of diverse voices are recognized and represented.
